The Origin:

In 1976, Apple was co-founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. That year Apple unveiled their first product Apple I in the following year Apple released Apple II. It was the first personal computer for normal people to use. It was a straight hit because it gave people the power to do many things and Apple saw a 900% growth in their revenue and net sales was around $8million which was something extraordinary for that time. From the year (1977-1983) Apple launched many other products like: 1) The external floppy disk drive - Apple disk II (in 1978). 2) Apple III in 1980. 3) A massive storage system - ProFile hard disk (in 1981). 4) Apple printers in 1982. 5) Lisa in 1983.

On December 12, 1980, Apple launched their IPO for the public to invest in the company. It was a huge success many people invested in their company and more than 300 venture capitalists became millionaire overnight

After 4 years, Apple launched another hit product Macintosh. Next year after the launch of Macintosh, the vision of Steve Jobs and John Sculley became different which led to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak leaving the company. However, Apple still continued to launch new product Macintosh or Mac II in 1987 and by 1989 they started producing portable computer later they took the name MacBook which still runs to this day.

In August 1997, Steve Jobs again joined Apple as the interim CEO and later became the CEO of the company in January 2000. During his absence the company stood still but they invested billions in R&D. So, the other companies caught up to Apple and difference between them and the other companies has gradually decreased.

In 1997, Apple was on the verge of getting bankrupt and the share price of the company was less than a dollar. So, then CEO of Apple Gil Amelio called Bill Gates for help from his company Microsoft, later that year in MacWorld Expo Apple announced they started a partnership with Microsoft, and it will release Microsoft Office for Macintosh for 5years and $150million investment in Apple. This saved Apple from bankruptcy.

During the year 2001, Apple released iPod which was a portable audio player and later there was many other models of the iPod named 1) iPod Touch, 2) iPod Shuffle 3) iPod Mini 4) iPod Nano. alongside iPod they also new operating system (MAC OS X). In 2007 Apple introduced and released the first iPhone and iOS and in the next year released iPhone 3G and in 2010, Apple released the first iPad and iPhone 4.

In August 2011, Apple became the most valued company in the world. Soon after that Steve Jobs stepped down as the CEO of Apple due to him being ill and handed over the position to Tim Cook. After Tim became the CEO, he launched iPhone 5 in September 2012, and Apple sold more than 100 million units globally which skyrocketed the price of Apple share and the company was valued at $624 billion in 2012. When he saw the gain in popularity of iPhone, he prioritized it more making it the bestselling product of their company. Last reported from Apple in November 2018 it has sold over 2.2 billion units of iPhone since the production began. This year the revenue of Apple was $394 billion, a 7.79% increase from last year 2021.
